Born from the love and passion of its creators, Le Aromaticae Formulae La Pelagia are concentrated and long-lasting aromas, the magical fusion of fine ingredients, carefully extracted from organic raw materials, combined with innovative techniques for the transformation of perfumed essences. The concept of “soul of nature” radiates their protective shield, to invigorate the body’s energy or to relax in the bath. The perfume remains on the skin, leaving hair feeling silky and pleasantly fragrant.
Pelagia Perfumes are created from the idea of two passionate Wellness Scholars who decide to create natural art fragrances to propose the rediscovery of the Aromacological olfactory journey, by showing the world the magnificence of the Italian cultural heritage and the tenacity of the wise women. Their aim is to hand down over the centuries the art of the pleasure of perfuming, drawing only on the raw materials that nature offers, thanks to the careful selection and recovery of the culture of the “Cult of Perfume” that creates well-being.

Hello, I’m Petronilla Liucci
I started my career in the 80s with Estee Lauder employee, as a Cabin Specialist- (Skincare Center / Cabine) Make-up Artist, beauty advisor, and aromatic tutor.
Thanks to the prestige of this brand,, and its training courses on the knowledge of various perfume products, pharmaceuticals, and the wonderful world of fragrances, I was selected for the dissemination of info-formative initiatives and beauty rituals related to the brand (skincare cabins) throughout Italy across the Estee Lauder sales points.
My professional growth has since consolidated itself as an independent entrepreneur of personalized aesthetic programmes. This has further been developed by collaborating Dermatologists, Aesthetic Physicians and Plastic Surgeons in the delicate art of image creation, creating innovative programs of psycho physical (holistic) wellbeing.
Since 2006 I have dedicated myself to the teaching of holistic practices in aesthetics and corrective Make Up both as a teacher of aesthetics (three years accredited training with the European training of Beauticians and Make up), and as a volunteer (Onlus LFIS national).
As a result of my never ending love for the heritage of my city; I decided in 2018 to create a brand of natural perfume called “AROMATICAE FORMULAE LA PELAGIA”. These art aromas are the result of an in-depth research of natural olfactory tastes according to the existing archaeological history documentation of perfumes and essences in the ancient Italic civilizations, enriched by the design of art .

The package including the unique perfumes of art Pelagia, and the pocket size scientific texts in in Italian –English; present the heritage of Italian archaeological sites and museums, linked to the Cult of Isis and the historical sources that inspire the creation of perfume recipes.

Our Story
2018
Was the year of the meeting Giovanna Lombardi, a professor dedicated to studia humanitatis, She accepted for her text “A Isis Queen I Egyptian cults in Benevento“, an abstract from her Archeology and art history degree, to be published in pocket size format both in English and Italian to enable her to present the places which inspired the ‘Aromatic Formula “EA eau de parfum”. For the first time the historical territory of an area brings to life the journey through time marked by olfactory notes, to rediscover the atmospheres and feelings of an era that seemed lost: from epigraphs to artistic tables, from the sculptures of the Temple of Isis of the Museo del Sannio, to the graphic transcription of the hieroglyphs engraved on the two obelisks of Egypt of the Pharaohs, heritage of the city of Benevento. Therefore here a fragrance becomes the living messenger of the fascinating history of the land of the Sannio.
2017
The goal of showing the world the cultural richness of the ‘Made in Italy’ becomes a driving part of the project.
The unique “art packaging” inspired by Isis Pelagia is designed, the artistic graphic reconstruction, shows a hypothesis of the original statue of the Goddess of which unfortunately only scattered fragments exist in the Mediterranean (Benevento preserves only the fragment of Iside Pelagia’s boat).
The graphic trademark is thus able to symbolize the neo-Roman historical memory of the ancient merchant transit on the Via Traiana, through which, over the centuries, the most varied commercial products from the ancient Mediterranean circulated, among these the most precious were the jewels and perfumes.
2016
The project combines the experience in the olfactory paths and the creation of the aromas of the ancient Speziale Fiorentina art with the expertise in Skincare in Aesthetics. Both professionals have a dream: that of bringing back the value of the cult of perfuming to enhance well-being. The design of the “new way of making perfume” is inspired by the name “Aromaticae Formulae“.

2015
The creators were inspired by the project “Natural Art Perfumes” from their travels in Mediterranean countries. The passion of both for the study of the people who first created it, opened their eyes to the scent of Art, “the potential actor in a new Wellness formula” to relax minds against stress, loving the scent, the charm that it conveys in linking the people and showing unexplored paths towards the happiness of people.
